I Took My Son for His First Umrah

Alhamdulillah, I recently had the blessing of taking my 7-year-old son on his very first Umrah — a journey that was as emotional as it was spiritual.

🤲🏻 The Prophet ﷺ advised parents to encourage their children to pray when they reach the age of seven. To mark this special milestone, I wanted to take my son to the very first place established for Salah — the Holy Kaaba in Makkah.

Together, we set out as father and son on a sacred pilgrimage — walking in the footsteps of prophets, learning about the legacy of Ibrahim (AS) and Ismail (AS), and deepening our understanding of faith, patience, and gratitude. From the peaceful nights in Makkah to the serenity of Madinah, every moment became a lesson in love, leadership, and fatherhood.

Inspired by this experience, I’m planning a Dadhood Umrah group trip next year — an opportunity for fathers and their children to embark on this meaningful journey together.
